Wind Farm Status Application refused, Appeal dismissed
Parliamentary Constituency Penrith and the Border
Campaigner

The appeal for the Holmand Farms turbine was dismissed on 2nd December 2015. The inspector took account of the Written Ministerial Statement and felt that he was "not satisfied that the planning impacts identified by affected local communities have been addressed."

Application 13/0523 was withdrawn and application 13/0429 (Stoneybeck Farm) was refused under delegated powers Nov 2014

Dec 2014. The applicant has now appealed the decision to refuse.

The Holmand Farm application was refused in July 2014 on grounds of unacceptable harm both alone and cumulatively to the landscape and visual amenity of the area.

This is a resubmission of the previous application 13/0706 which was refused on the grounds of unacceptable impact alone and cumulatively, on the landscape and on the nearest residents, also there was concern about bats and telecommunication links. It is being submitted by the same farm that has the present turbine at Bowscar and is a good example of the fact that when one is passed other applications will follow.

see details [1]
