The Appeal was allowed in July 2014 by John Braithwaite

It would appear that Barrow allowed the application and South Lakeland refused it. South Lakeland's decision has been appealed and the decision is awaited although it was due in October 2013.

Although the application (September 2011) suggests it is just an renewal and development of the existing wind farm at Harlock Hill, in fact the wind farm will actually cover a much larger area with an as yet unspoilt area of countysite (the moor above Standish Cote) being included. The proposed wind turbines are, needless to say, much larger than those there at present.
